Wood provides one of the richest sources of images I know. In its variety of color, texture, and pattern it provides a nuanced or strident image of nature. It can be admired, scientifically named, cut, burned, carved, used for building, treasured, and grown. No matter the assignment I'm shooting on, I almost always come back with one or two wood shots.
